Etsy

So I finally figured out how to add some pics from my Etsy shop. Originally I tried a Google store, but after lots of views and no sales, I decided to stick with just the Etsy store. I'm eventually going to add links to other blogs I like and other etsy stores (that aren't selling jewelry or fiber art) so send me links to advertsie!

Shout out to my buddy Marcie on the other side of OH. Probably the only friend who actually visited my site after getting the link. Marcie sells Avon so visit her store at http://youravon.com/mzorn-smith

Looming project

Well, I got a custom order at etsy for a Harry Potter Griffindore scarf. Good news is finally some income instead of all the money going out for yarn and looms. Bad news is the person I'm making it for investigated looming and decided to do the rest she needed herself. There goes my continued income. I love introducing people to looming, but if everyone does it, no one will purchase my etsy or ecrater projects :-(

New cat toys

Wicked is enjoying his new cat toys I have crocheted lately.

Knitting

Obsessed with knitting again lately. Made 2 really soft scarves with Lion's Homespun--my new fav bulky yarn.

Firsts

My very first loomed project...man, I thought I was so cool when I finally finished this hat. Now I can turn them out in a hour. No longer a fan of the big brim either.

okay, okay

I had every good intention when starting this blog. Updating my yarn projects daily, getting a group of readers, having a great time. Well, my fault that it's been less than exciting here for the last month. Life gets in the way of projects. I've been looming for a few months now and creating lots of accessories for my online store which has lots of hits and no "stranger" sales. Meaning I'm only still selling to family and friends. Maybe it's the time of year? Not sure. I belong to a bunch of Yahoo groups and have been busy hoarding yarn and patterns in hopes of making lots of new things. Above is the very first thing I ever knitted. A bell. Supposedly for the Christmas tree, but mine turned into a cat toy.

New stitches

So, now that I am an e-wrap "expert" (hahaha) I watched some YouTube videos and learned how to cast on--which I love for hats--and the knit and purl stitches which I think are hard. I'm determined to knit a flat panel on the round KK looms, but I'm intimidated already.

I actually went back to needle knitting today to give my hands a break of sorts (although it's probably harder on them) after knitting 20 hats this week. I got a request to do baby sweaters but I'm not up to that level yet.

Finally decided to breakdown and try blogging to show my new knitted, crocheted, and loomed items. Never did this before so be nice as I try to learn. Check out my store at http://loomit/ecrater.com
